We have just launched a third work phase with La Chaîne de l’Espoir, targeting two objectives: structure emergency missions monitoring from headquarters and continue our assistance in the process of creating a dedicated unit at headquarters to respond to humanitarian crises. Thanks to our operational support, the organisation has obtained a new ECHO grant for emergency surgery projects in Kurdistan we are contributing to. The first phase of the establishment of a coordination unit at headquarters is in progress and we provided assistance in the hiring of an emergency coordinator. We are currently working on putting together a team dedicated to monitoring and medical coordination. In a few weeks, an assistance/assessment mission will be deployed in the field to support La Chaîne de l’Espoir’s mission in Kurdistan.
