Accounting and administrative support for LCDE after the explosions in Beirut

In May 2021, La Chaîne de l’Espoir commissioned FrontView to assist the NGO with its budget management for one of its projects in Lebanon in the health sector. In addition, in 2021, FrontView acquired accounting capacity through its partnership with the accounting cooperation PHLOEM. 

The explosions in the port of Beirut on 4 August 2020, which caused thousands of victims, led LCDE to implement a CDCS-funded humanitarian project to assist those affected by the explosions. As part of the external audit of the intermediary financial report of the project “Medical and surgical care for victims of the 4 August 2020 explosions and vulnerable persons in Beirut (phase 1)” in Lebanon, FrontView assisted LCDE and carried out the following tasks :

• Verification of the consistency between the accounting extraction of expenses and the financial report; 
• Archiving of all documents and vouchers related to the expenses reported in the accounting extraction; 
• Verification of the completeness of the archived documents and the correct budgetary allocation of expenditure.
